Fawn Wood

Fawn Is a singer/performing/recording artist of the Plains Cree  and Salish people. Her music reflects her background and truths as not only an indigenous person but a nehiyaw skwew. With a career that has spanned almost 20 years, Fawn has won numerous awards and has travelled all over North America to share the grassroots music from treaty 6 territory.

Fawn has three solo albums released. Her latest “Kakike” winning her a JUNO Award for best traditional artist, or group. Her songs speak of  honesty, humility, humor, sadness and happiness in life’s truths.

Sheena T Kaine

Sheena, Eagle Mountain Woman is a Cree Métis originally from a Métis settlement in Alberta. Sheena played hockey on the Elk Point teams from atom all the way through to 2nd year midget playing on the boys teams for the majority of those of years. 

A former professional boxer, she was seen on TSN, sports net, ESPN. She is a member of the Canadian Actors union (ACTRA) with credits in voice acting, acting and stunts, continuously building her resume. Seen on access tv, APTN, CRAVE TV, Amazon Prime, Super channel, TELUS on Demand, TUBI TV and more. As a young athlete and former professional boxer, staying healthy and in shape is a lifestyle that is backed by her Personal Training certification. In the past year she has walked the runway for well over 15 designers. Kaine is guest/motivational speaker who shares her story on her past through her spoken word. Where she comes from, the lifestyle she used to live, how she changed her path and how she over came and continues to overcome life’s obstacles are highlighted.

Michelle Nieviadomy

Michelle is a wellness advocate.  She has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years with her business Iskwew Health-promoting wellness Indigenously.  She currently is in a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology program, an entrepreneur, innovator, community builder and goal getter!

She believes movement is medicine and connection is everything.  

She loves rose quartz, all things fitness and hopes to have her own pet dog one day!

Tony Tootoosis

Tony Tootoosis better known as “Toosick” is an Indigenous artist from Poundmaker Saskatchewan who was born and raised and is currently based in Edmonton, Alberta. He is best known for his hip-hop music as well as being a champion grass dancer, he typically encorperates his traditional powwow dancing into his contemporary music performances to provide a meaningful link between the Indigenous communities and the greater urban communities of Canada. Tony is also an accredited Audio Engineer by trade who has produced music for some of the biggest upcoming stars in the Canadian music industry as well as working as the lead composer for Sacred Defenders of the Universe playing at the Calgary Telus Spark Science Centre.

Asha Frost

Asha Frost (she/her), is an Indigenous Medicine Woman and a member of the Chippewas of Nawash First Nation. She has a BA in Psychology from the University of Guelph and a degree in Homeopathic Medicine. Asha is the best-selling Author of You are the Medicine and has guided thousands of people through profound and lasting transformation for the past two decades in her work as a healer, homeopath and mentor.

Impacted by generational trauma and colonization, Asha has been on a lifelong journey of reclamation. A lupus diagnosis sent her on a path of studying and practicing a multitude of energy Medicine modalities with many guides. She has blended this life experience with her innate gifts and the wisdom of her Ancestors. She loves sharing her Medicine in powerful ways through Ceremonies, teachings, and speaking events. Through this work, she has seen people reclaim their roots, find their healing wisdom, and rise into their power.

Asha lives on Anishinaabe, Huron-Wendat, and Haudenosaunee Territory, with her husband and two beautiful children, with whom she co-creates a better world for the seven generations to come. Her oracle deck, The Sacred Medicine Oracle will be released in 2023 by Hay House.

Cheskwa & Melanie

Beachi Neechi Volleyball is an indigenous female-owned business with the mission to promote the sport of beach volleyball by providing volleyball tournaments and community events. Their vision is to increase Indigenous representation in the sport of Beach Volleyball while fostering ally-ship. Beachi Neechi was founded in 2021 and is operated by Cheskwa Wapass and Melanie Spacil-Stienhauer, both from Saddle Lake Cree Nation living in Amiskwaciwaskahikan; Edmonton, AB.

Cheskwa Wapass is an educator and youth advocate; throughout Cheskwa’s life, she has coached and provided opportunities to students through sports. Cheskwa intends to activate participants' potential through healthy community initiatives.

Melanie Spacil Steinhauer is a commnuity wellness advocate and Holistic Registered Nurse. Throughout Melanie’s life, sports nourished and enhanced her wellbeing. Melanie intends to share her love for beach volleyball by increasing access to the sport of beach volleyball, thus fostering a healthier community.
